Initial Keynotes and Full Agenda for JS Interactive Announced!

We are so excited to bring you the initial keynotes and the full agenda for JS Interactive taking place October 10 -12 in Vancouver BC, Canada. The program covers a broad spectrum of JavaScript ecosystem technologies, concepts and applications trends including server-side JavaScript, IoT, internationalization, accessibility, progressive web apps, serverless, voice-based apps, the offline-first approach, and much more.

Accenture Joins the JS Foundation as Gold Member

We’re excited to announce our ability to support the JavaScript ecosystem as it continues to grow thanks to the newest member to join the JS Foundation, Accenture, a leading global professional services company. Accenture will help support the JS Foundation’s projects strategically by joining the board of directors. The company’s membership will help fund the many ongoing efforts and services provided to our projects and the community such as our project mentorship program, events such as JS Interactive, and standards work at ECMA and W3C to continue advancing the web platform and representing the JS developer voice in developing the language and APIs they use every day.

Dojo 2 Leverages JS Foundation Projects

In working on creating what we believe is an excellent developer experience for building modern web apps, at Dojo we were happy to be able to stand on the shoulders of other great JS Foundation projects for key Dojo features. This gave us a faster and more productive path to completing Dojo 2.

JS Interactive Diversity Scholarship Deadline is July 6th

JS Interactive is serious about including everyone in our community, so we are reaching out to members of traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized groups in the technology and/or open source communities. Three scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of need and impact.

Call for Participation - Smart Wearable Systems and Sensor-Based Devices

Ecma International, the organization that officially standardizes JavaScript, is creating a new Technical Committee focused on JavaScript and wearable devices. Interested members are kindly invited to submit their ideas and contributions to start the work of this new TC on smart wearable systems and sensor-based devices.
