News from the JavaScript Community

A Sneak Peek of a Few Panels and Talks at JS Interactive

This year, the JS Foundation and Node.js Foundation are hosting JS Interactive, a conference that gathers adopters and technologists from leading open source and JavaScript communities, and the businesses that are bringing these technologies into the enterprise.
The conference — taking place October 10 – 12 in Vancouver, Canada — provides JavaScript practitioners with the opportunity to collaborate face-to-face, network, and learn how to better their JavaScript development skills. The full schedule will be available on June 7, however we wanted to provide a small taste of what to expect from this conference.

Introducing Dojo 2.0!

Leveraging ES2015+, TypeScript, and many modern and emerging standards, best practices, and quality open source dependencies, Dojo 2 focuses on interoperability preventing you from being locked into the specifics of any one framework. Dojo 2 gives you the flexibility to reap the benefits of choosing your preferred micro-libraries to create a custom framework but most notably gives you a robust set of out-of-the-box options, so you don’t need to decide everything up front before you can be productive.

JS Foundation chooses FOSSA as its Open Source License Certification Provider

The JS Foundation is the home for critical JavaScript infrastructure that powers the web. They host 28 projects that power over 75% of the top one million websites in the world, and billions of worldwide users/developers.
