SAN FRANCISCO – September 7, 2017 – We’re excited to announce the two newest members to join the JS Foundation, Kenzan and Blog Starter. Kris Borchers, Executive Director of the JS Foundation added, “It’s very encouraging to see more and more organizations supporting our mission to create a center of gravity for the JavaScript ecosystem. Increasing momentum in both the number of companies supporting our efforts and the number of projects to which we are able to provide long-term, sustainable support is a great indicator for how the community wants to grow and develop this ever evolving JavaScript landscape.”
Kenzan is a software engineering and full service consulting firm that provides customized, end-to-end solutions that drive change through digital transformation. Combining leadership with technical expertise, Kenzan works with partners and clients to craft solutions that leverage cutting-edge technology, from ideation and design, to development and delivery. Specializing in application development, PaaS, continuous integration and delivery, cloud virtualization, and digital transformation, Kenzan empowers companies to put technology first.
“The JavaScript community is healthy, vibrant and continues to create great software that is accelerating innovation in nearly every industry”, said Craig Martin, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations. “These technologies are a core aspect of many of Kenzan’s projects and we believe that contributing to open source is essential in maintaining a culture of innovation. We are excited to give our support to the JS Foundation and to participate in the critical ecosystems that support our business.”
Blog Starter was created by Scott Chow to help beginners with no technical expertise learn how to start a blog with WordPress. Through step-by-step guides, Blog Starter shows individuals how to build a blog from the ground up with a topic they’re passionate about to share their story, make money from home, and build a community around their business or interests. Scott Chow, owner of Blog Starter echoed the statements from Kenzan saying, “As an avid user of multiple open source projects, Blog Starter is proud
to support the JS Foundation in their work to promote and support JavaScript.”
With the addition of these two new members, we continue to build support throughout the expanding JavaScript ecosystem and evolve the model for sustainable open source JavaScript from a single project focus to an encompassing, umbrella effort across the many projects driving innovation in this space. Keep an eye out for more great content and announcements from our newest members.
